Rick Schair | President & CEO | email@example.comWhen Rick Schair founded Schair & Associates Inc. / Schair and Associates Inc. in the mid 1980’s, his vision was to build a corporate real estate company that differed from the norm. His goal was to cater to a select group of U.S. and International investors and developers with the intent of building long-term relationships.
He viewed the company model as one that provided “full-service”, from the start of the transaction to the closing. This includes full involvement in all aspects of the process, including, but not limited to, contract preparation, negotiation, due diligence, zoning, etc.
He started his career specializing in raw land research identifying properties for 1031 exchanges with American Land Equities. In his first year, he received recognition for the highest grossing commercial sales agent in the history of The Cobb County Board of Realtors. Following that he went to work for the O.C. Hubert Estate in charge of land sales.
After his tenure with that estate, he opened Schair & Associates, Inc. Recognition has come in many forms. Within a few short years, the firm was awarded “The 15th Highest Grossing Real Estate Company”, by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Mr. Schair is a two-time recipient of the Ernst & Young “Real Estate Deal of the Year” award in two separate categories.
Over the years Schair and Associates, Inc, the company philosophy has not changed and many of the client relationships founded in the first few years still remain strong. Rather than focus on a single asset type, Schair & Associates has been the procuring cause in major lease and sales transactions in industrial, office, retail, multi-family, and land.

As Executive Vice President of Schair & Associates, Inc., Karen Stone is responsible for evaluating the financial aspects of investments, coordinating marketing and real estate strategies, and contract administration. Ms. Stone brings more than fifteen years of commercial real estate experience to the firm. She gained an in-depth knowledge of development, investment management and acquisitions during her tenure with multiple national real estate companies.
At CNL Group, she was involved in the land acquisition and development of numerous freestanding triple net lease projects, her role included contract negotiations, re-zoning, entitlements, lease negotiations and client relations.
As part of a development team at Birtcher Real Estate Corporation, Karen was involved in the development and management of multiple projects including: a high-rise office project totaling over 1,000,000 square feet; a 3,000,000 square foot mixed-use project; and two design centers in excess of 300,000 square feet.
She gained additional real estate investment knowledge working on the sale of multi-family projects at Shoptaw-James Investment Group. At IHP Capital she was involved in obtaining joint venture partners for commercial and residential developments.
Karen has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of Southern California.
